Aromatic Reflexology: Merging Touch with Aroma, With Jade Shutes

Aromatic Reflexology is the holistic integration of aromatherapy and reflexology, providing a hands-on technique of merging touch with aroma. Throughout Saturday we will cover the basics of foot reflexology and review its history, therapeutic benefits, and contraindications. The basics of aromatherapy, the philosophy of aromatic reflexology and over 16 essential oils will be covered. Time will be allotted for practice during the afternoon.
 

Throughout the day on Sunday you will learn how to create dynamic spa treatments to enhance your aromatic reflexology sessions utilizing medicinal herbs, honey, salt, clay, sugar, fruit, other raw material, blending and unique applications. You will be able to offer a number of new and innovative treatments for your clients upon completion of the program.

 

  This course is designed to cover the following topics:

 

 

    • Foundations of Aromatherapy, Spa and Reflexology
    • Explorations of the feet and reflexology sessions
    • Anatomy of the Foot including Reflex points
    • Integrating Aromatherapy with Reflexology
    • Discover the therapeutic properties of 20 Essential oils to be used for Aromatic Reflexology.
    • Learn about unique spa enhancements including herbs, honey, salt, clay, sugar, fruit, and other raw material.
    • Experiential work

Who is this program for?

Aromatherapists, Massage therapists, Healthcare professionals, Spa practitioners, Retail owners or employees and individuals who would like to pursue their knowledge and applications of aromatic reflexology. This program is also incredibly valuable for those who would like to be empowered in health care options for themselves, family and friends.

Is this a certificate program?

Yes.  You will be awarded a Certificate for Aromatic Spa Reflexology.

Are there Prerequisites? 

An Aromatherapy Foundations program is highly recommended but not required.

Continuing Education Hours:

Massage therapists: 14 CE hours

Registered aromatherapist: 24 CE hours

                    (includes case study hours)

$300. if registered by May 1st **Plus $50. Materials fee

About Jade Shutes:
Jade holds a Diploma in Holistic Aromatherapy, Holistic Massage, Anatomy and Physiology, and Reflexology from the Raworth College of Natural Medicine in Dorking, UK, and a Diploma in Aromatherapy from the International Therapist Examining board (ITEC). She has studied with Jan Kusmirek of Fragrant Studies and has completed Part One of the Purdue University Advanced Studies of Essential Oils. She has been practicing and studying forms of natural healing for more than a decade, and was one of the vanguard of professionals who helped introduce aromatherapy to the United States. She has been an aromatherapy educator, activist, and practitioner for over nineteen years, opening her first aromatherapy school in the New England area in 1990. She is co-author of the new “Aromatherapy for Bodyworkers” textbook published by PrenticeHall
