Our Mission

We embrace the highest level of education for our students, exceeding national and professional standards. We instill in our students a commitment to continuous education, to grow in compassion and skill, and to promote wellness in their community, that they may bring healing therapy to their clients in an honorable and ethical manner.

Our Philosophy

We began Augusta School of Massage, Inc. because we believe that almost everyone can benefit from massage therapy; physically, mentally, and emotionally. Because massage therapy is essential to good health, the massage therapist must be well trained and have the overall knowledge needed to care for each client as necessary.

Our History

Leigh Ann Keels, a licensed Massage Therapist, and Jackie King, a Physical Therapist, began Augusta School of Massage in January of 2000 in Augusta, Georgia because they believed that almost everyone could benefit from massage therapy; physically, mentally, and emotionally.

In June, 2001, Leigh Ann purchased Jackie's interst in the massage school and began to grow the faculty and student body by cultivating a learning environment where learning was paramount and students were given every tool they needed to succeed. The massage school soon began to outgrow the facilities and in 2003, construction began on a new massage school building.

Augusta School of Massage BuildingIn addition to Augusta School of Massage, Leigh Ann's vision included a new luxurious spa: Tuscany, A Classic Italian Spa. Tuscany is a full service spa that provides superior service and old world charm in a calm and relaxing environment. It also carries the added benefit of giving students a first-hand view of a premier day spa and massage facility in action. The new location houses Tuscany on the upper level and Augusta School of Massage on the lower level.

Classes were first held in our beautiful new building on April 12, 2004. The Augusta School of Massage now has state-of-the-art classrooms and is housed in a beautiful Italian setting!

We continue to see great things ahead and we want you to be a part of it! Contact us now to get started!
